- The George Tallmann Ladd Research Award was given to Mohammad, in recognition of his research, professional accomplishments, and potential.Congratulations.
- Hyun Young Jung has joined our group as a postdoctoral associate in March 2009.
- Kevin Lu has joined our group as a postdoctoral associate in February 2009.
- Quianyu Liu has joined our group as a Graduate Student in February 2009.
- Parv Jain has joined our group as a Masters Student in January 2009.

2008 |
- Mohammad has been invited to participate in the National Academy of Sciences Kavli Frontiers of Science symposia. These symposia bring together some of the very best young scientists to discuss exciting advances and opportunities in their fields in a format that encourages informal collective as well as one-on-one discussions among participants. The symposium will be held November 6-8, 2008 at the Academy's Arnold and Mabel Beckman Center in Irvine, California.
- Zach Bryan has won first place for his research presentation in the summer 2008 REU program. Congratulations.
- Kelvin Hung, Itai Stein, Zach Bryan and Ashley Lee have joined the lab in May 2008 and completed their summer research succesfully.
- Kelvin has been awarded with a summer research fellowship.
- Harry has graduated and is now pursuing his graduate degree in chemical engineering at MIT. Congratulations.
- John has graduated and is now pursuing his graduate degree in materials at UCSB. Congratulations.
- Padmakar has joined the group as a postdoctoral associate to work on the carbon nanotube project in April 2008.
- Fernando has joined the group as a postdoctoral associate to work on interactions between carbon nanotubes and cells in February 2008.
